Punting – Everybody told me that when in Cambridge one has to punt. “Have you punted?”, “Did you punt yet?”, “Go punting!” It’s a bit obsessive.
Six months after my permanent arrival we went punting at last. I loved it! I thought it would be boring or too kitsch but, although it is a tourist attraction, it is fun. Who knew?!

Punting – Em Cambridge toda a gente me perguntava se já tinha ido fazer punting. “Tens que ir!”, “Já foste?”, “Vai!”. É uma obsessão.
Seis meses depois da minha chegada permanente lá fomos punt. Adorei! Pensei que ia ser uma chatice mas embora seja uma actividade turística é divertido. Quem diria?!

This lot loves to spend lots of time looking at the movement that goes on outside but this is a rare moment when they are both in different windows on the same side of the house. It’s usual for them to be in the bedroom window, on the other side.
I love the photo because it looks like a play house for cats.

Esta malta adora passar o seu tempo à janela a olhar para o exterior mas este é um momento único onde estão os dois em janelas diferentes neste lado da casa. É mais comum estarem na janela do quarto que é do outro lado.
Gosto muito da foto porque dá a sensação que é uma casa de brincar de gatos.

Some of the thinks I like about the UK:

– Brick houses;
– The string light switch in the bathroom to turn on the light;
– Pubs;
– Good pub food;
– Having the four seasons again;
– Topshop, Boots, Ann Summers and Borders;
– The access to BBC iPlayer and Spotify;
– London in general;
– Camden town;
– Buying the bus ticket from the driver;
– The way some old people say “alright love?”;
– The amount of people wearing hats and skirts;
– The good cappuccinos.

– Casas de tijolo;
РO corḍo de abrir a luz na casa de banho;
– Pubs;
– Boa comida de pub;
РVoltar a ter quatro esta̵̤es;
– Topshop, Boots, Ann Summers e Borders;
– Ter acesso ao BBC iPlayer e ao Spotify;
– London em geral;
– A vila de Camden;
– Comprar o bilhete de autocarro ao motorista;
– A maneira como alguns velhotes dizem “alright love?”;

– Os cappuccinos bem feitos.

Lots of Postcrossing postcards

Postcrossing.com – Since I’ve been here I’ve sent almost double the postcards I sent from Portugal. It’s a fun hobby. It consists in sending a bunch of postcards to people and waiting for the same amount of postcard to arrive in your mail. You can read more here.

Desde que cá estou já enviei quase o dobro dos postais que enviei de Portugal. É um passatempo engraçado. Consiste em enviar um monte de postais para pessoas diferentes e esperar pela mesma quantidade de postais de outras pessoas. Muito bem pensado! Podem ler mais, em inglês, aqui.

Dailyburn.com – Thanks to a tweet from Célia I’m really having fun logging my daily intake of food and water. Yesterday I ACTUALLY drank 8 glasses of water, can you believe it!? It’s motivational.
