Last photo of Project 365, 4th year.

This project has been declining in purpose and posts for a while. I could drag it a bit more but I feel like I’m just rehashing the same old themes. I need something new.

I take photos everyday, not all of them deserve to be shown. That’s the core concept of this short finale.

There are some ideas floating in my head but for now I feel good just taking a break from the pressure of the “photo a day” principle.

November 20th was my birthday.
I was lucky enough to have my parents, my sister and the most recent brother, Scott (sister’s husband) visiting. It was a great treat!

Paris is a lovely city. Beautiful, urban, full of life and things to see and do.
I love to live here but now we are leaving and it’s fine. A new city, full of great things is waiting for us and I’m certain it will be wonderful!
After a few weeks in Portugal we will be leaving again and this time to the USA.

We are going to Boston! Yay!

Este ano foi um ano fantástico! Paris é uma cidade magnifica. Linda, urbana, cheia de vida e coisas para ver e fazer. Adoro viver aqui mas agora estamos de saída e está tudo bem. Uma nova cidade cheia de coisas boas está à nossa espera e tenho a certeza que vai ser óptimo!
Depois de passar algumas semanas em Portugal vamos mudar-nos outra vez, desta vez para os EUA.

Vamos para Boston! Yay!

It was long overdue.
Facebook has been messing with their clients for a long time, leaking private information, making it difficult to delete applications, making it impossible to completely remove some information like your interests and age. Last night I got sick of this and deleted my link to this shameful network.

I know it sounds convenient to have your friends, family and acquaintances all in the same place. You can send a Facebook e-mail and be sure that even the most computer-challenged person will read it. You also have the illusion that you are in touch with people.

Anyway, my point is, if you want to get in touch with me call me, e-mail me, send me a postcard (I like those!), follow me on twitter of leave me a comment. It’s easy. As easy as on Facebook and without selling your soul or, in this case, my soul. *wink*

Ontem apaguei a minha conta no Facebook. Há muito tempo que andava a pensar fazer isso.
O Facebook anda a brincar com a privacidade dos clientes, expondo os seus dados a terceiros, dificultando o apagar de aplicações e tornando impossível a supressão de dados como “interesses” e data de nascimento. Ontem à noite fartei-me e apaguei a minha associação a esta rede infame.

Sei que parece vantajoso ter os nossos amigos, familiares e conhecidos todos no mesmo sítio. Podemos enviar um e-mail do Facebook e ter a certeza que até a pessoa com menos “jeito para computadores” o recebe. Temos também a ilusão que nos mantemos em contacto com muita gente.

Seja como for, o meu posto de vista é, se quiserem entrar em contacto comigo telefonem-me, enviem-me um e-mail, um postal, sigam-me no twitter ou deixem um comentário aqui. É fácil. Tão fácil como no Facebook e sem vender a alma, neste caso, a minha. ;)
